About Us

In 2021, Main Gallery Creatives, L3C, an Illinois Low Profit Limited Liability Company, took over the ownership of Main Gallery 404. The gallery has been a staple of the Downtown Bloomington local art community under a series of different owners since 2008. When it became available for sale again in 2021, three local artist formed a partnership and seized the opportunity to revamp and revitalize the gallery as the new owners. In early 2024, one of the owners left the gallery, so the partnership is down to two.

As a Low Profit L3C, the gallery prioritizes community service over profits in its support of our local artists. The gallery consistently exhibits well over 30 local artists from Illinois, including some local artists who have “transplanted” themselves in other regions of Illinois, and even other states! The gallery also regularly hosts free portfolio reviews for new artists, as well as other events geared to the support of the arts and our local community.

From there the obsession grew bolder, bigger and brighter.

The foundation of Dustin’s process is rooted in feeling emotion, seeing color and trying to express thoughts on a canvas using a brush and other household products to apply the paint. This new approach has helped me develop a stronger passion for art. Each time I enter my space, I feel calm, relaxed and inspired to create. Much of my work is based on botanicals; collecting and caring for plants and a garden go hand in hand with my meditative practice.
